Members' login updates

The members area of the web site has been updated with some new functions.  If it has been a while since you logged in do take the time to login and upload your favourite photos of past and present Welbeck moments

Members Profile

All online members of WCCC can update their Profile and use some recently added functions to upload photos and communicate online.

To update your Profile

  1. Prepare your avatar image. 150 X 209 pixels is ideal size for the web site.
  2. login into the site
  3. navigate to Home > Your Profile >Update your Profile.  Here you will be able to upload your personal avatar

Publishing your mobile and home number is entirely optional. This information is only visible to other members.

Gallery Photos

Share your Welbeck CCC photos with other members and the general public using the newly added Gallery Function.  The photos are organised into four categories to start with.  If you would like to suggest a new category do contact the webmaster who will be pleased to help you.

You can add comments to photos after login.

Also, you can add other people's photos to your favourites.

Events updating

After you have been upgraded to a web site editor by the site administrator you need to.

  1. prepare off line an image for the new venue - the image should be 200 X 200 pixels.  Save this image in file ready to upload to the site.
  2. Login to the site and an additional item will appear in the Future Events menu.
  3. Open the Menu Future Events > Add a Venue
  4. Input the details in the form For Country insert GB.  If you select add a map Google Maps will read the address and hopefully insert an accurate map into the Venue details.

Its simply a case of completing the on-line form and the venue will be added to the site.  THis only needs to be input once for all events.

The Events calendar can show events as public or restricted to members only.

General Web site updating

The web site has a very easy to use content management system called Joomla.  2.5% of all web sites use this system so it is likely you may need to know how to use the system at work.

The web site will be more interesting and current if a few volunteers will keep the content up to date.

If you're willing to help contact Rob French - perhaps using the members internal messaging system.
